One text, one call

We recently texted one of our global leaders letting him know that we’d be in Liberia and hoped to connect with him while there. He replied saying he’d make every effort to meet while in his home country. It had been nearly a year since our last meeting in Cambodia at an international conference for global leaders. After explaining his availability, he asked if it were possible to fill an eyeglass prescription for his 10 year old son. Even small requests like this are what ZEELO endeavors to do. He emailed the prescription which was forwarded on after making one phone call to one of our understanding optometrist friends here in the U.S. We fully expected ZEELO would cover the entire cost of the frame and lenses. However, we were unaware of a fund that some local optometrists have established for such circumstances. Even though this was short notice, the new eyeglasses were ready before departure and the total out of pocket cost was only $25. This is the value of partnerships. This is advocacy in action.
